I’ve always said I am happiest when I’m outside in nature. One of my favorite things about living in Los Angeles is the variety of outdoor activities that are available. I can be hiking in the mountains or in a canyon in the morning and hanging at the beach 20 minutes later. The juxtaposition of scenery leaves me feeling connected to nature, grounded and fulfilled. It’s also a nice way to switch up my workout routine and get out of the gym. So naturally I was thrilled when Athleta came to me to test out their Train line of workout gear. I went hiking through Franklin Canyon with my English bulldog Gus who, believe it or not, might love hiking more than I do. We hiked up rocks and boulders, around a lake, through the woods and up the mountain to overlook the lake. After getting our cardio in, I took it to the beach for a sandy, sweaty full body workout. Because these Up For Anything crop leggings are made with Sculptek Light fabric, they have a small amount of compression that keeps them in place (finally no pulling the waist band up during my workout) but they’re breathable and light so they move with me as I jump, run and twist. I also love that I can store my car key in one of the four pockets while I’m at the beach. The All In bra has the same light compression, so it’s great for both jumping and my post workout stretch. It also has enough coverage to wear without a tank when I get super sweaty. I don’t usually wear flowy tanks, but I love that this Essence Tank translates from the gym to lunch because of the cute tie back detail.
